Olé Special Events offers an Ecoevents® service so we have chosen to highlight an eco-friendly team activity that we offer within Madrid Rio.
Our eco-friendly Event service is dedicated to those clients who value the environment and our Ecoevents® are fully supported by carefully selected environmentally passionate suppliers.
Ecoevents® is our response to each of our desire that Olé Special Events minimises its impact on local, regional and global environment and the growing number of clients whose CSR policies dictate the inclusion of environmentally friendly activities or projects through to those who wish their entire Event to be as “Green” as possible.
The process of selecting environmentally passionate suppliers took twelve months to complete and subject to your chosen location in Spain these eco-friendly suppliers may cover all aspects of your Event from Convention Centre/Hotel conference facility and accommodation through to dinner venues and activities.
The “Recycled Car” race
We designed this team activity for a client whose event was held in Madrid May 2010. The Recycled Car race is an activity that combines teamwork with recycling and sport; a perfect combination to encourage employees’ green team spirit.
Employees were assigned to teams and briefed on the activity.
Stage 1 – the teams have to design a “race car” made with paper and recycled materials.
Stage 2 – the parts required for the cars construction were “bought” by exchanging aluminium cans and plastic bottles found in the “Madrid Rio Park”.
Stage 4 – construction
Stage 5 -The race. Rio’s bicycle paths were the “race course”.
Of course during the activity only fresh, local, seasonable products where served and the teams moved along the “Madrid Rio” area with bicycles and pedal cars.
