We support Contact The Elderly Charity – A lifeline of friendship!

Choosing a charity for our business to support took time – there are so many.

Whatever we chose our priorities were personal involvement and making a difference in our “home” community. In Contact The Elderly we found the perfect fit.

So what do we do – in short we put smiles on the faces of lonely, isolated, elderly while reconnecting them with the local community.

And we do it by organising monthly Sunday tea parties for elderly guests using a network of volunteer drivers and volunteer tea party hosts.

As the group coordinator for Redditch & Bromsgrove we find lonely elderly guests, volunteer hosts, volunteer drivers and manage the monthly tea parties.

Our guests are able to make new friends – fellow guests, drivers and hosts – and also, subject to our raising funds, enjoy other activities.

Welcome Stephanie!!

During her formative years Stephanie was a dedicated and diligent junior member of the RSPCA and spent her spare time doing good deeds for animals in need i.e. rescuing hedgehogs, making bird boxes and bug hotels. Even at a young age Stephanie was into hospitality.

As an experienced and effective developer and manager of hospitality business opportunities with more than 15 years of experience, Stephanie has worked with some of the leading names in hospitality, business travel and MICE. It was during these years that she fuelled her passion for delivering top class customer service and developing positive, long-term, relationships.

We are delighted to have Stephanie on board and are certain that GTAssociates, our DMCs and clients will benefit from Stephanie’s experience and enthusiasm.

When she’s not providing sales and administration support to GTAssociates, you’ll find Stephanie exploring the great outdoors with her husband and 2 young daughters – Thea and Taryn: savouring fine wines and enjoying tea, toast and kids TV in bed with all the family on a Saturday morning.

Stephanie believes that Sir Winston Churchill summed up her caring and nurturing nature as well as her approach to business when he said “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give”

Welcome Stephanie we have enjoyed the last three days!!

GTAssociates adds two DMCs to their Portfolio

New DMCs, New destinations and New Year fast approaching. We are pleased to welcome Buzz DMC Portugal and Worldimensions USA whom we will be representing from 01 November.

 We know Portugal well but the USA is a whole New World and we look forward to exploring it in person and through proposals. A bonus with Worldimensions is that they have been joined by an “old friend” many of our UK clients know well – Karoline Schmidt.

Karoline will be in the UK week commencing 1 December and she would love to catch up with New and Old Clients/Friends.

Can drinking coffee help support cancer sufferers!

Yes it can if you join MACMILLAN’S “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning” so join our coffee party and help us raise funds while you raise your cup.

So put Friday 26 September 2014 in your diary and drop in.  Gill and Alan have an “OPEN HOUSE” Coffee Day from 10.30 am until the last coffee drop is drunk and last penny raised. (email me for our address details if you would like to drop in –gill@gtassociatesdmcs.com)

There will be more than coffee or tea if preferred.  Take part in our Silent Auction raffle, bring a cake, try one of ours, or try a taste of our destination(s).

We have some fabulous Silent Auction Prizes and details will be posted on our website, so keep an eye out for the Auction going live on Wednesday 17 September 2014. Final bids must be received by Friday 26 September at 1700.
